I finally figured out how to get a printer working so that I can print remotely from 32 bit windows even though the printer is USB connected to a 64 bit machine. Screw you HP and your completely useless installation "help".

Ah yes, "Install Additional Drivers"
Good job!

Seriously, why the fuck is setting up a printer so freaking hard? Truly an infuriating reality; it should be so much easier.

I recall with much fondness trying to "engage" an older (workhorse) HP LaserJet III printer onto a more modern network. Never did get it connected, even though I installed every damn driver I could find. I laughed through my exit interview and all the way out to my car...fun times. I'm still laughing at this very moment!

Yes, I'll just select the .inf file THAT DOESN'T EXIST!!!!!! And that I can't download. And I can't run the .exe to install the 32 bit drivers onto 64 bit windows. But I beat them. I installed onto old computer and copied the whole driver directory on to the shared drive. BUHUHUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have definitely done that before! I hate printers. Really.
